Racism
Why is racism still around in this day and age especially in New Zealand when it's such a multicultural country and most countries are multicultural these days!
In Auckland alone there have been 3 violent attacks against people for their race, a 16yr old boy on a bus heading to school was violently attacked by a woman all because he is mixed race Chinese/European, she called him a series of racial slurs and attacked him with a metal pipe smashing him around the head breaking 3 teeth and knocking out 2, no cops were called everyone on the bus turned a blind eye except a 71yr old man, the bus driver didn't even stop 😳, when the bus driver got to the next stop he kicked the kid off the bus who was bleeding from his mouth and the woman who attacked him she bolted out the door and down the road. He didn't provoke this woman he didn't even say anything to her she just saw him and started attacking him all cos of his race. Another attack was on another bus a woman gets on and starts hurling abuse and racial slurs at the Chinese passengers on the bus as well as the driver ( alot of our bus drivers are Chinese or Asian decent) the bus driver closes the doors and calls the cops cos he fears for his safety- cops come she is arrested and taken away, the last incident was a Muslim woman she had her head covering ripped off her head thrown to the ground by some guy who she didn't know and was racially abused and kicked about her body all cos she is Muslim she didn't know him she didn't say or do anything to provoke him it's all cos she had a head covering on ( Clearly he felt intimidated by a woman who is confident in herself to wear one 😑) no one helped her instead they all took out their phones and started recording the incident 😳, when did the human decency of helping someone being attacked disappear, when did thinking it's not my problem seem to be the reason that people won't step in to stop an attack especially on a kid, when did pulling out our phones to record an attack on someone instead of stepping in and stopping it or calling the cops be the first thing we do. What the hell is wrong with people??? When they see someone being attacked and racially abused think it's not their problem, it's got nothing to do with me, or I will record this, or I won't do anything at all.... Doing nothing or recording an attack on someone or walking by makes you just as guilty as the person doing the racial attack - you all need to grow some balls cos this isn't the NZ I grew up in. The people I know if they saw someone being attacked they would step in they would definitely step in if some dude was kicking and attacking a woman that shit is never acceptable - wouldn't matter if she was Muslim or not you don't attack a woman not someone you don't know for no other reason than she's wearing a head covering ( grow the fuck up) .
The mentality of it's not my problem or I don't want to be involved or it doesn't concern me is what the hell is wrong with our country - I am pretty sure if you were the one being attacked you wouldn't want people to just stand around recording it or to just ignore you or walk by cos it doesn't concern them, these people are your brothers, your sisters, your kids, your mother's, your family, would you want people to ignore them being assaulted you would want someone to step in and stop the attack so your family members don't end up severely injured, or dead.
Racism is very much alive and well in NZ and to think we are trying to attract tourists they aren't going go want to come if they know no one will step in if someone decides to attack them cos they are of Asian decent or they are foreign looking 😑. I dont understand why people don't step in what the hell are you all afraid of???
Moral of the story ; step up and be a decent human, defend those that are being attacked or racially abused if you can't do that for someone else don't expect any help when you need it!!!!
