When is an adult not an adult!!!

 

Today I am going to talk about adults when is a child a child and when are they an adult, the law in nz states that a person is legally an adult at 20, but parents are only legally responsible  for you til you are 18, so when someone commits murder at 19 are they legally an adult or are they still considered a child?? 

Back in 2018 Jack McAllister ( also known as Jade Fearn )was stabbed to death by a group of people who decided to go after him based off a rumor, without doing any form of research or working out if the person claiming what he did to them was true, they decided to have Jack lured to the southland stadium and taught a lesson they took knives but claimed they weren't intending to use them 😐, Laura scheepers txt Jack luring him go the stadium saying she wanted to have sex with him , Jack is a kid who was 19 and just trying to find his place in the world where he fitted in, it is an awkward age for many people but even more for someone who had a pretty rough start in life but thru the grace of God found a loving foster family who treated him and his younger sister like they were their own kids.

Laura scheepers, Christopher Brown, Brayden whitting-worth, and Georgina  ( name is withheld as she was only 16 and a minor at the time I have done this as she was unfortunately  led down the garden path by these older and more adult like friends) they were all part of this group that did a frenzied attack on Jack stabbing him over 30 times, between holding him down and having other people take turns to stab him is just disgusting😑, there was a massive court case and there are many articles about this stabbing, why am I writing this now, see as of November  this year Christopher  Brown will be released from jail he had his lawyer overturn the 18yr conviction stating that he was a child even tho he was 19 living out of home, in a flatting situation , and doing meth cos apparently that was all of their thing back then, he will have only served 6 yrs of his original 18yr sentence, Georgina  has also had her sentence reduced but she was a child, a very unstable and unsettled child who had a lot of personal and psychological  problems. Christopher  wasn't in my eyes a child he was 19, he knew exactly what he was doing, he wasn't led on my the other people there he was the ring leader of the incident, he had constantly picked on Jack and his foster family for years terrifying them in their own home, he is a bully and a narcissist, plays the victim when it suits him but will do what is necessary  to feel like he is better than everyone else. 

Laura scheepers got home detention for a year even tho if she had never lured Jack to the stadium this whole incident never would have happened - she lied about him raping her, we all know this is a lie because common sense can tell you that if someone has been raped by someone they don't invite them to a dark isolated place in the middle of nowhere for a hook up 🤦‍♀️, she tried to claim her Christianity,  as she was a new person and had turned over a new leaf, she never has accepted responsibility  for her part in the incident  she has always blamed someone else and when confronted by people she says it's liken to him being in a car crash, she's the sole reason Jack is dead her actions are the direct result of Jack's death. Without her none of the other parts of the plan would have worked. Jack was scared of Christopher, his foster parents can attest to that, they believe it's cos they treated Jack like their own son while Christopher  being in another foster home ( yes he was a foster kid as well) was not treated like their child, and that created extreme jealousy in Christopher  towards Jack. Christopher bullied Jack most of his life, Jack had some learning difficulties due to things they had happened to him before he ended up in the McAllister  household, his past was really rough, but he was a very ( probably too trusting)  person, he tried his best to have everyone like him and even tho Chris  bullied him Jack still tried to be friends with him that was his nature.  He was also a father, when he died his ex girlfriend  and him had a baby girl, she will never get to know her dad, she will never see his face or know what his voice sounds like or know him on a personal level she had the memories only her mum can give her but for a child that isn't the same as the actual person, they took her dad away from her over a lie and rumor that wasn't true. 

So as of November this year Christopher Brown will be released from chch prison ( yes where that other monster is currently being housed ) back into society back into the town where he once was where all the other people they were apart of this and never got charged or got home detention are, I personally think that when someone commits a crime in a town they should be banned from going back to it especially  since the victims or victims families still live there and Jack has a sister, she shouldn't have to fear for her life cos her brothers murder is going to be in the same town as her,  worried he could come after her or come looking for her. 

No amount of apologizing or saying you have changed will ever fix the damage and hurt that has been caused by them, this horrific event that has changed the lives of so many people forever. 

To me if you commit murder and you are over 18 then you need to be classed as an adult and need to do adult time in jail, but cry to the judge that you are a child, you commited murder, a serious felony that requires serious time. And yes people can say that it was pack mentality, they all acted like feral animals when they went on stabbing frenzy of Jack but they all made a choice they all planned and chose to go there and they all did their part of the plan so they are all responsible  for the death of Jack.
